Use the "Place on Hold" button to place a sale on hold.  A sale on hold will keep all it's rung up items but allow a user to move to another sale or order in case a customer gets interrupted or needs to come back.  You can also use the Place On Hold function to ring sales at one station and allow the customer to pickup and pay at another station.


To place a sale on hold simply click the Place on Hold button.



On the Place on Hold screen there are ways to identify the customer as well as options on receipts to print.


Name - Name of guest

Table # - Table Number

Pickup Time -  Time the customer will pickup the products on the sale

Guest Count - Used to report on guests per ticket

Customer Name - Assign a customer account to the ticket

Notes - Any notes to be printed on the receipt.


Print Claim Check - Prints a claim check for the customer to take to another register to pay.

Drink Receipt - If there are any items on the ticket that are designated to print to the Drink Printer AND the store has a Drink Printer a receipt will print at the designated printer to allow an employee to begin making a drink

Kitchen Receipt / Grill Receipt - If there are any items on the ticket that are designated to go to the Kitchen or Grill Printer AND the store has a Kitchen or Grill Printer a receipt will print at the designated printer






To find a sale that has been placed on hold click the Find Ticket button on the POS home screen.  Click the On Hold Sales check box and select a date if necessary.  All On Hold sales will show up in this screen.  The Table Number, Customer Name, Transaction Time, Total and Ticket Number will display on the screen to help you identify the correct ticket.  You can also use the Barcode button to scan a barcode of a claim check or receipt to find the ticket.
